My Paintings
”Ray of Fohat”
The first of a series of acrylic paintings. This “Ray of Fohat” painting was inspired by my youngest daughter’s pregnancy. Where I ‘saw’ the Divine Light flowing down her energy spine or Chong Mai Channel in Traditional Chinese Medicine, nourishing and illuminating her baby’s Spirit within her belly.
The womb is a metaphor for our heart’s desire ignited within our heart. The Ray of Fohat is a theosophical term meaning “a tether of Divine Light that animates all sentient beings”.
”Safe Inside”
“Safe Inside” is the second acrylic painting in a series of the feminine torso and womb - which is a metaphor for our desires gestating within our heart. Our womb-heart region is the safe, protected space where we nourish and grow our passionate idea until it is ready to be birthed into the world.
”Bruised Blue”
“Bruised Blue” is the third acrylic painting in the Feminine Torso & Womb series. It was inspired by the violence endured by Mother Nature and Women all over the world. And on a more basic level, of the interrupted or destroyed dreams of women who never see their heart desires actualized because of trauma, negative self-talk or external limitations imposed on them by society, church or patriarchy.
”My Heart Desire”
“My Heart Desire” is the fourth acrylic painting of the Feminine Torso & Womb series, inspired by my own deep longing for a loving, supportive, conscious partner. Held within the heart of my metaphorical womb, this deep desire is so fully envisioned and embodied that it is ready to birth into the world and become reality.
